Every year the same thing happens. We wait until the last minute to decide where to spend New Year’s Eve. We wait for our friends’ decision, we wait for the announcement of the attractions… And, the last minute, here we are, still not knowing where to go!!! If this is also your case, and if you live in or around Porto, this compilation is for you. We did the heavy lifting and selected the best New Year’s Eve parties 2023-2024 in Porto, Portugal.

We’ve narrowed down a few options, and here are the hottest parties in town. Listed below are the parties, with links to more details about each event. The listed prices are subject to (probable) changes and we are not responsible for possible changes in the Line Ups.
The New Year’s Eve celebration organized by the Porto City Hall promises a beautiful fireworks display and plenty of music in different areas of the city. Check it out:
10:30 pm: We Trust (musical project by André Tentúgal, director, videographer, and photographer)
12:10 am: Richie Campbell After Richie Campbell: Zinko (live act)
10:30 pm: Carolina Deslandes (foto)
After midnight: Jimmy P At both stages, the OCUBO collective presents a multimedia show called “Beloved Porto,” which will serve as a countdown starting at 11:50 pm.
Special guest: Francisco Menezes for the countdown
Additionally, on the first day of the year, January 1st, there will be a presentation by the Portuguese Symphonic Band (New Year’s Concert) at 4:00 pm on Aliados Avenue, featuring classics of the season.
Where: Alfândega do Porto
How much: From 30€ including 4 drinks. There are also packages with table, dinner and bottles of rum/vodka/whisky from 220€.
Who: Portuguese singer Áurea is the highlight, joined by national DJs.
Where: Located in Baixa, Hard Rock Cafe Porto offers a New Year’s Eve party with buffet, open bar, countdown with raisins and champagne, and DJ Set from 8:30 pm. Address: Rua do Almada, 120.
How much: First batch tickets cost €150 for adults and €60 for children (aged 3 to 12).
Where: Overlooking the Douro River, offering a spectacular view, a family-friendly atmosphere with dinner and a party. Most restaurants are sold out, except for Mira Mira.
Price: Dinner at €350 per person, includes entry to the party. Exclusive access to the party costs €50 per person.

Where: Mambu Beach Club – Praia da Memória, Matosinhos
Who: Live band and DJ playing lively Brazilian sertanejo style, along with world music and classic Portuguese hits.
Price: Starting from €45 (entry only) to €240 for a table for 4 (includes 1 bottle of white liquor and 1 bottle of champagne).
International NYE Party!
Where: In Galerias de Paris, the most traditional festive area in Porto’s Historic Center. Admission to bars and clubs is paid. If nearby, don’t miss stopping by to check it out.
Where: At Miradouro Ignez, a bar offering one of Gaia’s most beautiful views. The party starts from 9 pm, featuring an explosive line-up and memorable moments.
Who: DJs to be confirmed.
Price: The first 100 tickets cost €10.
Where: Plano B Bar – In Porto’s Downtown.
Who: To be confirmed.
Price: Starting from €15.
Where: Lust Nightclub, Downtown Porto.
Who: National DJs playing current hits.
Price: €35 with open bar, from 1 am to 6 am on the 24th.
Where: Vila do Conde welcomes the New Year at Praça da República from 10:30 pm on December 31st. Fireworks over the Ave River with a large crowd by the riverside, near Nau Quinhentista and Nautical Museum.
Attractions: Heated tent, DJs, Live Act, and fireworks display.
Where: Hotel Intercontinental, a glamorous dinner, accommodation, and a party with an open bar. The decoration is inspired by the 19th century. DJ performances.
How much: €1130 includes a night at the 5-star hotel located on the traditional Avenida dos Aliados.
Where: Maus Hábitos, Rua de Passos Manuel.

Matosinhos City Hall has yet to confirm the attractions for 2023-2024. Stay tuned!
